COLD SPICED FRUIT 
2 oranges, unpeeled and sliced thin
1 tsp. salt
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks
1 (16 oz.) can peaches
1 (16 oz.) can pear halves
1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white vinegar
3 (3 inch) sticks cinnamon
7 whole cloves
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin

Cut orange slices in half. Combine oranges, salt and cloves with water. Bring to boil, cook 5 minutes and drain and set aside. Drain canned fruits, saving juice to measure 2 1/2 cups. Set fruit aside. Combine 2 1/2 cups juices, sugar, vinegar, cinnamon, gelatin. Let boil, reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes. Layer fruit, orange slices in large bowl - pour gelatin over fruit. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours - stir and serve with slotted spoon.
