BANANA FLAMBE WITH CURACAO | |
6 half-ripe bananas, peeled & cut in 2 parts 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 6 oranges (the juice only) 1 orange (the peel only) 1 cinnamon stick 2 cloves 8 tbsp. granulated sugar 3 oz. butter 4 oz. curacao liquor 4 oz. vodka In a frying pan, warm the butter and fry the bananas previously sprinkled with flour; turn bananas both sides and cook for a few minutes. Add orange juice and peel, the sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Let boil for 2 or more minutes or until the liquid reduced to half; at this point, remove orange peel, cloves and cinnamon. Add vodka and curacao to flabe. Serves 6. |
