ORANGE DROP COOKIES 
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. orange rind, grated
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

FROSTING:

2 1/2 tbsp. soft butter
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. orange juice
2 tsp. grated orange rind

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly. Stir in juice and rind. Stir in all dry ingredients. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheet, 8 to 10 minutes until edges are browned. Frost immediately.
