BEST EASY BAKED POTATOES | |
These are great anytime! large baking potatoes 1 cup extra light olive oil 1 gallon size Ziploc bag cupcake or muffin pan (keeps potatoes upright while baking!) Note: However many people you are cooking for that's how many potatoes you need! SUGGESTED SEASONINGS: salt lemon pepper garlic powder season all (Lawry's) Preheat oven to 400°F. Get cupcake pan ready to put potatoes in. Wash and scrub potatoes really well. Pat dry with a paper towel. Pour one cup olive oil into Ziploc bag. Place two potatoes in oil and cover well with the oil, Place potatoes on end in cupcake pan. Do same with each potato. Put salt, lemon pepper, garlic powder (lightly) and season all, on potatoes or whatever seasoning you like best. COAT POTATOES WELL WITH SEASONINGS. KEEP STANDING ON END AND PLACE IN OVEN FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR. HALF WAY THRU COOKING TIME TURN POTATOES ON THE OTHER END. FINISH COOKING THE REMAINING TIME. Potatoes should be done in one hour. DO NOT PIERCE POTATOES TO CHECK IF THEY ARE DONE, GENTLY SQUEEZE WITH TONGS, THEY SHOULD BE TENDER. Remove potatoes and serve hot with butter, sour cream chives.
