NORWEGIAN COFFEE CAKE 
4 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. butter

Stir dry ingredients together. Blend in shortening as for pie crust. Beat eggs and milk and add to dry ingredients. Don't mix too much. Grease two 9 inch cake pans and put half of mixture in each pan by putting spoonfuls around the edge. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Frost and add nuts to the top. (My family likes a maple flavored frosting.)
