2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. shortening, butter or Crisco
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in sour milk
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. lemon extract
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour

Mix in order given. Use only enough flour so you can handle dough. Roll out dough on well floured board. Cut and place on cookie sheet. Topping with sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
