OATMEAL HAZELNUT BARS 
1 c. raw hazelnuts
3/4 c. Mazola oil
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour (1/2 whole wheat)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. uncooked oats
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp. butter

Roast hazelnuts for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Mix batter of oil, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Add dry ingredients to wet. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Chop hazelnuts in large pieces, stir in.

Spread into greased 9x13 inch pan. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Low fat treat.
