JAGACIDA (JAG) 
4 c. water
2-2 1/2 c. rice (UNCLE BEN'S® converted rice)
2-3 lg. bay leaves
1 pkg. linguicia (Portuguese sausage) or
1-1 1/2 lb. Chorizo (spicy Portuguese sausage)
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1-1 1/2 c. frozen lima beans
1 lg. onion, chopped fine
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Salt
Pepper
Oil

Heat oil in a 2 quart saucepan. Fry sausage (season while frying). Add onions (fry lightly). Add tomato paste. Add water and bay leaves. Add lima beans. Add rice. Stir and bring to a boil on high. When it boils turn to medium low heat and cover. Cook 1/2 hour. Check occasionally to avoid sticking. Rice should be dry when cooked completely. Serves 10-12 people.
