CREAM WAFERS 
1 c. butter, soft
2 c. flour
1/3 c. whipping cream
Granulated sugar

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter, soft
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Food coloring

Blend butter, flour and cream. Chill 1 hour. Roll dough to 1/8 inch. Cut in 1 1/2 inch rounds. Coat with granulated sugar. Prick 4 times. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes. Mix butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and desired food coloring for filling. Put 2 cookies together with filling in between.
