PEAR RELISH 
14 large pears
8 bell peppers (red and green)
8 small onions
1 quart of vinegar
4 c. sugar
1 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. pickling spice
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. celery seed

Tie in bag the pickling spice, mustard, and celery seed. Grind pears, peppers, and onions, drain. Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, and spices and bring to a boil. Add pears and then let boil for 20 minutes. Place in hot sterilized jar; seal.

Makes 7 -8 pints.
