BUSY WOMAN'S ROAST CHICKEN 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Stove Top dressing
1 1/4 c. water
1/4 c. sauterne wine (optional)
12 carrots, peeled & cut into 2 inch pieces
1 (4 to 5 lb.) roasting chicken
Salt & pepper

Prepare dressing according to package instructions. Set aside to cool. When cool, stir in wine. Meanwhile, cook carrots in small amount of water for about 5 minutes. Drain and place in bottom of crock pot.

Rinse and dry chicken; stuff with dressing. Place on top of carrots in crock pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until chicken is tender. (If you like your chicken browner, put in baking pan in oven for about 15 minutes at 400 degrees.) Slice chicken, serve with carrots. Serves 4 to 6.
