FRENCH BEEF 
2 lbs. stew beef
2 c. water
3 tbsp. tapioca
2 tbsp. bread crumbs
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 med. onion

Combine all ingredients in a casserole, cover and place in a preheated 325 degree oven for 3 or 4 hours. Mushrooms may be thrown in for the last half hour. Serve with noodles or rice.
