APPLE SLICES 
This recipe is a big hit in our family. Aunts and uncles and cousins alike will think you are a genius when you bring them this dessert. But don't give away the recipe. It is so easy, anyone can make it.

4 c. flour
1 1/3 c. butter

Work together until well blended. Add water to make soft dough (not sticky). Divide dough in half. Roll out one half of dough and place in large 18 x 11 3/4 inch baking sheet.

20 slices, peeled assorted apples
3 tbsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. flour

Combine together cinnamon, sugar and flour. Place apples generously onto dough in baking sheet. Sprinkle sugar-cinnamon-flour combination onto apples adding dabs of butter on top. Roll out remaining dough and place on top of baking sheet for cover. Pierce holes in top dough cover with fork. Cook at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Add powdered sugar to water to make icing and spread onto apple slices. When cool, cut into squares.
