CABBAGE ROLLS
12 lg. cabbage leaves
1 sm. onion, minced
1 clove garlic
1 lb. hamburger
3 to 4 c. cooked rice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. oregano
Salt & pepper

Take the leaves off the cabbage and submerge them briefly in boiling water, until they are limp. Drain and set the leaves aside. Mince the onion and garlic and saute them with the hamburger until the onions are translucent and the meat is browned. Stir the cooked rice into the beef and onion mixture with cinnamon, oregano, salt and pepper.

Pat the cabbage leaves dry. Place a generous serving of stuffing at the stem end of the leaf, and roll it up, tucking in the edges. If necessary, secure the rolls with toothpicks, and place them in a shallow baking dish. Add enough water to cover the bottom of the dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with lemon sauce or Italian tomato sauce. Serves 6 to 8.
