CHEESY FRENCH BREAD 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 lb. Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese, grated
2 loaves French bread

Cream butter and mayonnaise until smooth. Add garlic and cheese and mix well. Cut bread into 1 inch slices and put flat on cookie sheet. Spread cheese mixture on top of each slice and place in broiler for 3-5 minutes until cheese melts nicely.

You may dunk these in your favorite Italian spaghetti sauce. Kids love it.
