MRS. KNUTE'S SWEDISH COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 lg. can evaporated milk

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder, then add to butter mixture alternating with evaporated milk. Pour batter into 2 greased pans, one 9x13, the other 9x9 or three 8x8 pans.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. melted butter
4 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. ground walnuts

Mix together topping ingredients with fingers. Sprinkle over cake. Run a knife or spatula through cake mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
