PRUNE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. prunes (may use baby food)
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. flour (may use self rising, if so, omit soda and salt)
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, oil, and eggs, one at a time, then add buttermilk. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well and bake in well greased oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

SAUCE FOR TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. syrup
1 stick butter
