CHOCOLATE TOWN SPECIAL CAKE 
1 3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water

Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans. Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well; add vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with buttermilk. Make a heavy smooth paste of cocoa and boiling water; cool slightly; add and blend well to cake mix. Pour into pans; bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until done.
