KUCHEN DOUGH 
2 pkgs. or 2 cakes yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk, scalded
2 c. flour
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 - 3 c. flour

Soften yeast in warm water, add shortening, sugar, salt to milk. Cool to lukewarm. Add to the yeast mixture and beat. Add 2 cups flour and mix and add remaining flour making a soft dough. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Knead on a floured board 5 to 8 minutes. Place in a bowl to rise in a warm place until double in bulk. Pinch down and let rise again. Roll dough 1/2" thick and make rolls. 1/2-3/4 c. sugar Pinch of salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Cook prunes, remove stones and grind. Add sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix.
