ALL BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. all bran cereal
1/2 c. & 1 1/2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pt. buttermilk
2 c. bran buds
3 c. flour

Put 1 cup of all bran cereal in 1 cup of hot water, let stand until cool. Combine remaining ingredients. Spoon into muffin papers and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for about 16 minutes. Batter can be kept in refrigerator so that muffins can be made fresh each morning.
