NEVER FAIL DUMPLINGS 
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk
2/3 tsp. salt
1 c. unsifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Combine egg and milk. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and cornstarch together. Blend with egg mixture. Drop by spoonful in boiling broth. Cover tightly and cook 15 to 20 minutes. Do not lift cover.
