SPRINGTIME SOUP 
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. green onions
2 c. milk
5 c. boiling chicken broth
2 med. potatoes, pared & sliced thin
2 med. carrots, pared & sliced thin
1/4 c. raw brown rice
10 oz. frozen raw asparagus
10 oz. frozen spinach
1 tsp. salt (add to taste)

Saute green onions in butter until golden. Add boiling chicken broth. Add potatoes, carrots and rice and simmer 15 minutes. Add asparagus and spinach and simmer 15 minutes. Add salt to taste.
