CRACKER BARREL FRIED APPLES 
4 large Golden Delicious apples
2 1/2 c. apple juice
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. apple pie spice
4 tbsp. sugar

Peel apples and cut into wedges. Combine 2 cups of the apple juice and apples in skillet. Simmer and turn often until apples are done but not mushy. Remove apples with a slotted spoon to drain.

In a blender, pour the remaining 1/2 cup of apple juice, cornstarch, apple pie spice and sugar. Blend until smooth. Pour into the hot juice in skillet and cook, stirring constantly, on medium heat until bubbly and thick. Pour over apples. Serve warm. Can be refrigerated or may be frozen.
