SWEET POTATO BISCUITS 
2 1/4 c. mashed sweet potatoes
3 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
4 1/2 tsp. (rounded) baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco

Boil sweet potatoes until done. Then mash. Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Add potatoes. May have to add a little warm water or a little flour to make consistency of dough. Make into biscuits and bake at 400 degrees until brown.
