LENA'S GREAT BANANA BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. Martha White all-purpose flour 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 2 eggs, lightly beaten 3/4 c. oil 3 tbsp. buttermilk 2 or 3 bananas, mashed (approximately 1 c.) 1/2 c. pecans Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Set aside. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add sugar, eggs, oil and buttermilk. Stir to blend. Fold in bananas and nuts. Pour into prepared dish. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes. Turn out onto wire rack to cool completely. |
