1 lb. smoked Polish sausage Cook sausage until done. Divide in 4 pieces. Split open; do not cut in half. Brown on grill. 4 slices New York or Jewish rye Sauerkraut 4 slices Swiss cheese Assemble as follows on cookie sheet: 1 slice bread; grilled sausage; sauerkraut; cheese (melt cheese under broiler or micro). Carefully place each sandwich on plates. Serve with salad and buttered noodles, sprinkle with celery seed. |
