CHEROG (ARMENIAN COOKIES) 
5 lb. King Arthur flour
1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. mahlab

Put all dry ingredients together. Then add:

1 1/2 lb. melted butter (can be half butter and half butter)
9 eggs, beaten
1 qt. warm milk (or equal canned milk)
2 yeast cakes (or 2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved)
1/2 c. plain yogurt

Knead flour into a pliable dough, so you can shape easily. Let dough stand until doubled in size. Shape dough into desired figures--braid, figure 8, round or any other desired shape. Sprinkle the tops with sesame seed after brushing with beaten egg for topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until golden. Makes 75-80.
