APPLE CHEESE CRISP 
6 lbs. apples or 16-20 med. size
2 tsp. cinnamon
4 tsp. lemon juice
3 c. sugar
2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
6 c. (24 oz.) shredded processed American cheese
3/4 c. water

Pare, core and slice apple into 4 greased 12x8x2 baking pans or 2-quart casserole dishes. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Combine 3/4 cup water and lemon juice; pour over apples. Mix sugar, flour and salt; cut in Crisco until crumbly. Lightly stir in cheese. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until topping is browned and apples are tender. Serves 24.
