APPLE PECAN DESSERT 
1 egg
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped, peeled tart apples
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans

In a medium bowl, beat egg until light. Add flour, cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, salt and soda; mix well. Fold in apples and pecans. Turn into greased 8" pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until firm and well browned. Serve warm or cool with whipped cream or ice cream. TIPS: For a more moist cake, you can shred apples instead of chopping. Add 1 more tablespoon of flour.
