CANDIED DREAMS 
1 c. flour
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. soft butter
3/4 c. quick or instant rolled oats
1 c. pecans, chopped fine
42-60 candied cherries

Sift flour, sugar and salt; add orange rind. Mix in butter and milk. Add oats and pecans. Form small balls around the cherries. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 14 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar or crushed nuts. Or dip into thin icing (best). I always make a double recipe as they don't last long.
