PEANUT BUTTER SWIRLS 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Cream shortening and sugar, add peanut butter, egg and milk. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to other ingredients.

Place dough on floured wax paper. Roll or pat out dough to 15x18 inch.

Melt chocolate chips, add 1/4 cup peanut butter to keep it from getting hard. Cool. Spread on dough. Roll like jelly roll. Lift paper slightly with each turn. Chill 1/2 hour or more. Slice 1/4 inch thick. Bake on ungreased pan for 8-10 minutes at 375.
