ENERGY BARS 
1 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
2/3 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. old fashioned oats
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. whole almonds
1/2 c. applesauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8" pan. In bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. In mixing bowl with electric mixer at high speed, beat butter until creamy. Add sugar and beat one minute. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until fluffy. Reduce speed to low, add flour mixture and beat. Stir in chocolate chips. Reserving two tablespoons each of raisins, oats and nuts, stir in remainder and applesauce. Pour into prepared pans and sprinkle top with reserved raisins, oats, and nuts. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until bars pull away from sides of pan. Cool 30 minutes, cut into squares.
