OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 c. bran
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. rolled oats
1 c. raisins
Nutmeg, allspice & cinnamon (opt.)

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat to blend well. Add flour, salt, soda and rolled oats and raisins. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Usually I like to take part of the dough (if it's not too dry, add milk to make it more moist). Pat it out to the edge of the cookie sheet. Bake. Then cut in bars. Cool on rack. Store in a cookie jar.
