HOT MIX SAUSAGE 
1 lb. Kilebasa or Italian sausage
1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
2 green peppers, sliced
3 med. onions, peeled and sliced
1 stick of butter
Aluminum foil
1 paper bag
1 cardboard box
50 lbs. asphalt @ 300 degrees

Place sausage, peppers, onions and butter in aluminum foil and wrap securely. Drop foil wrapped ingredients into the paper bag folding over top of bag. Take 1 shovel full of "hot mix" asphalt in the bottom of the box, place the paper bag with ingredients in box and cover with remaining asphalt. Allow to cook for about 1 hour. Remove ingredients. Serve on hot dog buns with a bag of chips and a cold drink. Serves 4.

NOTE: If you are not on a paving crew or at an asphalt plant a conventional oven may be substituted.
