KNOCKWURST AND HOT CABBAGE SALAD 
2 tbsp. butter
5 c. finely shredded red cabbage
2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced thin
12 oz. fully cooked knockwurst, cut in 1/2 inch slices
1/2 c. bottled Italian dressing
1 tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. salt

Melt butter in large skillet. Add cabbage and apples. Cover and cook 5-6 minutes, stirring often until cabbage is wilted and tender. Place sausages on top, reduce heat to low, cover and cook about 5 minutes, until sausages are hot.

Meanwhile mix dressing, sugar, pepper, salt in bowl. Pour into skillet and toss all together. Serve hot. Makes 4 servings.
