PORK & SAUERKRAUT 
1 pork roast
2 bags sauerkraut
1 lg. onion
5 to 6 lg. potatoes (or what you need)

Heat oven to 300 degrees. Put sauerkraut in colander and rinse with running water until vinegar is rinsed out. Put in bottom of Dutch oven. Cut onion in half and throw it in. Place roast on top of sauerkraut. Bake for 3 hours. Add peeled and cut (large chunks) potatoes and bake for another hour or until done.

There shouldn't be any vinegar in sauerkraut to rinse. Real kraut has just two ingredients...cabbage and salt. Caraway seeds and juniper berries are optional.
