1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. quick oats
6 tbsp. molasses
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins

Measure dry ingredients and sift. Measure shortening. Melt butter, add sugar and cream. Beat eggs well, blend into creamed mixture and blend in molasses. Stir in dry ingredients. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 1/2 dozen.
