BAKED ACORN SQUASH 
3 med. acorn squash
1 (8 1/4 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
2 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. cooking apple, peeled & chopped

Cut squash in half, and remove seeds. Place cut side down in a shallow baking dish. Add 1/2 inch boiling water. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Turn cut side up and sprinkle with salt. Set aside. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, add pineapple, apple, and sugar, mixing well. Spoon mixture into squash shells. Dot each with 1/2 teaspoon butter. Return to oven, and bake 30 minutes.
