NIGHT BEFORE CASSEROLE 
12 slices white bread, crusts removed
6 to 8 tbsp. butter, softened
6 slices American cheese
6 slices boiled or baked ham
Prepared mustard
4 eggs, beaten
3 c. milk

MUSHROOM SAUCE:

1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/3 c. milk
Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Spread bread with butter. Place 6 slices in bottom of 9x13x2 inch pan. Top each slice with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham. Brush with mustard. Place the remaining slices on top, butter side up, over the mustard. Combine beaten eggs with milk and pour over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand 5 minutes.

Combine mushroom sauce ingredients and heat. Serve in a small dish to pass around. 12 servings.
