PERFECT CORNBREAD 
3/4 c. yellow stone ground cornmeal
1 c. white flour
2 tbsp. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. backing powder
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1 c. sweet milk

Mix dry ingredients, add wet ingredients and beat thoroughly by hand. Bake in a preheated and well greased 7 inch iron skillet at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
