CHOCOLATE ANGEL FOOD CAKE 
1 lg. pkg. chocolate chips
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 1/2 pt. (3 cartons) whipping cream
1 lg. angel food cake
Slivered almonds

Must make at least 24 hours before serving. Can do 48 to 60 hours ahead. Serves 15. Use rectangular (Pyrex) baking dish. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler over warm NOT BOILING water. Remove as soon as melted. Add beaten egg yolks and sugar. Fold in beaten egg whites and whipped cream. Break cake into chunks. Put layer of chunks in baking dish and pour chocolate mixture on top; then a layer of cake, then layer of chocolate mixture. On top put slivered almonds (or walnut meats). Refrigerate at least 24 hours. Serves 15 people. Really easy and delicious!
