ONION CHEESE STRATA 
2 c. onion, sliced thin
8 slices white bread
8 oz. sharp Cheddar, sliced
2 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. butter

Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Saute onion for a few minutes. Place half the bread in pan, then half the cheese and half the onions. Repeat layers.

Beat together the eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour over layers. Dot with butter. Let stand at least 30 minutes. It may stand several hours or overnight. Bake for 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. If refrigerated, let stand out for 1/2 hour before baking.
