HOT SAUSAGE AND CHEESE PUFFS | |
1 lb. hot or sweet Italian sausage 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded 3 c. Bisquick 3/4 c. water Remove sausage from casings; cook in large skillet breaking up with a fork until no longer pink, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain off fat and put sausage into a large mixing bowl. Cool completely. Add cheese, Bisquick and water; mixing well with fork just until blended. Roll into 1 inch balls; place on cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown. Cool on wire racks. May be frozen in single layer on cookie sheets then placed in plastic bag after frozen. |
