APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts

SAUCE FOR CAKE:

1 c. light brown sugar
3/4 stick butter
1/4 c. evaporated milk

For Cake: Beat together sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to oil egg mixture. Add apples and nuts. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.

For Sauce: Bring almost to boiling point all ingredients and pour over cake after removing from oven.
