GLAZED MAY APPLES | |
16 peeled but not cored sm. baking apples 2 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 c. apple cider 1 c. currant red jelly, melted Red food coloring Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Arrange apples in large shallow baking dish and dust with sugar. Pour in cider; bake. Baste several times until apples are tender when pierced with fork, but still hold their shape, 30 to 45 minutes. |
