1 lb. hamburger
4 slices bread, crumbled
1 egg
Salt, pepper and sage to taste
4-6 potatoes, sliced with skins on
2 pkgs. Schilling brown gravy
2 c. water

Place sliced potatoes in a 12x10-inch pan. Combine hamburger, bread, egg and spices and make into 4-8 patties. Place on top of potatoes. Mix 1 package gravy mix and 1 cup water together and pour over potatoes and patties. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Just before serving, mix the other package of gravy and water and heat until boiling. Pour over potatoes and patties and serve with green vegetables and French bread.

This meal will answer the question, "What would you like for supper, dear?" when all you get for an answer is, "I don't know?"!
