BLUEBERRY BATTER CAKE 
2 c. blueberries
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a well greased 2x8x9 inch pan with blueberries.

Cream 3/4 cup sugar and butter. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients. Mix well. Spread batter evenly over berries.

Combine 1 cup sugar with cornstarch and sprinkle over cake batter. Pour boiling water over all and bake in oven for 1 hour. Serve plain or with your favorite ice cream.
