MAMA'S COUNTRY DUMPLINGS 
2 lbs. flour
1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1 heaping tbsp. Crisco (about the size of an egg)
1 1/2 glasses water

Sift flour in a large bowl. Make a hole in the center of flour. Mix in salt, baking powder, Crisco and water. Work dough until real stiff. Roll out real thin. Cut into little strips. Add to your hot broth. Keep strips of dough punched down. Cook for 20 minutes slow.
