FIVE FLAVOR POUND CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco 3 c. sugar 5 eggs, well beaten 3 c. plain flour or cake flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 tsp. each flavoring - coconut, rum, butter, lemon, and vanilla Cream butter flavor Crisco and sugar thoroughly and until light and fluffy. Add eggs and blend well. Add flour, baking powder, and milk, then add flavorings. Blend well. Pour into well greased 10 inch tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool cake 5 minutes before removing from pan. GLAZE: 1 c. powdered sugar 1 tbsp. water 1 tsp. almond flavoring 1 tsp. of above 5 flavorings Combine above ingredients and spread on cake. |
