RAISIN OATMEAL SCONES 
1 1/2 c. white flour
1 c. quick oatmeal
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Generous 1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, melted
Generous 1/3 c. milk
1/3 c. raisins or more
Generous 1 tbsp. baking powder

Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Add butter, milk and raisins, mixing just until dry ingredients are moistened. Lightly flour cutting board, place dough on it and knead about 15 times. Be careful not to add too much flour.

Flatten dough. Roll to about 8 or 12 inch circle. Cut into wedges. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are browned. Warm to eat.
